GHPI CEO Edwina Rogers recently traveled to New York for the debut of the new hit documentary “The Age of Aging”. Directed by Ron Howard and debuting on the National Geographic channel’s “Breakthrough” series, the film explores the work of the American Federation of Research and Dr. Nir Barzilai’s team of medical researchers seeking to open the doorway to a whole new class of drugs to treat the underlying causes of aging-related disease. Given the “green light” by the FDA for new clinical trials to test a decades-old diabetes drug called Metformin for its known effects of reducing the risk of development for multiple cancers by a whopping 30%, the TAME/Metformin study is a true “trial for the ages”.
